Hitachi Rail Italy today announces that a new fleet of AT300 trains for the UK train operating company Great Western Railway (GWR) will be manufactured at Hitachi Rail Italy’s facility in Pistoia. Hitachi Rail Europe finalised a deal in July 2015 to supply and maintain 29 brand new AT300 trains for the GWR franchise.
Ansaldo STS was awarded a $338 million contract from Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to furnish a complete Positive Train Control (PTC) system on their entire Commuter Rail network. Ansaldo STS's scope of work will include design, integration, delivery of materials, onboard and field installation, testing, commissioning, technical support and documentation for the PTC system.
Hitachi Rail Italy signed a contract, for 40 million euro, for the manufacturing of new TSR (regional trains) that will implement the fleet of Ferrovie Nord Milano. HRI will realize 4 vehicles with 4 cars, which will be delivered to the customer between July 2017 and November 2017.
A contract worth 190 million euro for Hitachi Rail Italy. The rail company was awarded a contract by Trenitalia for the supply of new regional trains for the FS commuter service. The operator has exercised the right of option provided for in the contract signed in March 2010. The supply contract is for a total of112 intermediate double-deck coaches and 24 driving cars, all of 2nd class.
A four-company consortium formed by Hitachi, Ltd. , Mitsui & Co., Ltd. , Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd., and a leading company in the rolling stock manufacturing and heavy engineering business in India , has won a contract from the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL) for the supply and installation of signalling and telecommunications systems along a dedicated freight corridor.
Naples/Tokyo, 9 November, 2015 - Hitachi Rail Italy S.p.A.(HRI) today announced that it had won an order worth 190 million euro from Trenitalia to supply new Vivalto regional trains, for Trenitalia’s commuter service.
Ansaldo STS was awarded a $ 53.2 million contract from Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) for a full design build contract for the Media Sharon Hill Lines Communications Based Train Control system. Ansaldo STS will provide the Media Sharon Hill lines of the SEPTA network with its latest Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system.
