Hitachi Rail will deliver its advanced Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solution for Etihad Rail, a 1,200km railway infrastructure running all the way across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from the Saudi border to Fujairah. Hitachi Rail has been awarded the role of master systems integrator for the Etihad Rail Passenger Stations project. The project marks the UAE's first-ever passenger rail service and aims to connect all seven Emirates as part of the larger Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) rail programme that will connect the UAE with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
