Hitachi Rail installs new generation solar panel system to dramatically cut CO2 emissions at Tito Scalo site
Hitachi Rail has installed an innovative Solar PV system at its Tito Scalo plant in Basilicata, southern Italy, allowing it to produce more than half of the site’s energy requirements (50-60%). The new generation photovoltaic system, now connected to the e-distribution grid, enables the plant to reduce its carbon emissions by 325 tons per year.
