Hitachi Rail secures clearance for €1,660m Thales GTS acquisition

European Commission gives antitrust approval for deal
Hitachi Rail has been given clearance to proceed with its €1,660 million acquisition of Thales’ Ground Transportation Systems business today.
The publication of the European Commission’s (EC) approval means that the deal has now received clearance from all 13 competition authorities which reviewed the acquisition.

Hitachi Group Donates $100,000 to Support Those Affected by Maui Fires

Hitachi Group extends its deepest sympathies to all those affected by the Maui Wildfires.
Today, Hitachi Group announced that it is donating $100,000 to support the people and rebuilding of Maui communities.
A donation of $80,000 has been designated to the Japanese Red Cross Society, and an additional donation of $20,000 has been made to the Aloha United Way to their Maui Fire Relief Fund.
