Statue to mark the 10th anniversary of Hitachi Rail's Ashford Train Maintenance Centre
The statue was crafted by local artist, Joel Tarr.
Joel was commissioned by Hitachi to create a striking piece of art to mark the 10th anniversary. The statue of a red-topped crane, a bird that symbolises good luck and longevity in Japan, will welcome visitors at the depot’s entrance.
The statue was unveiled on 10th November 2017.
