Hitachi Celebrates Successful First Anniversary for Ashford Depot

Hitachi Rail Group (Hitachi) today celebrates the first anniversary of its state-of-the-art Ashford Train Maintenance Depot, which was opened 12 months ago by Ruth Kelly, the Secretary of State for Transport. Over the past year the depot has attracted over 3,500 visitors from the UK, Europe and Japan’s rail industry and has created 47 jobs for local employees.
